DU releases sixth cut-off for remaining seats
With a few seats remaining in certain colleges for some courses, the Delhi University released a sixth cutoff on Friday. Classes have already started in colleges.
Admissions to most courses at most colleges have closed. But certain colleges still have a few seats left.
The registrar’s office released a list of the lowest cutoff. “The college can either offer the course at the this lowest cutoff, or drop it further,” said a DU official working with admissions.
Students would have to visit individual colleges on Saturday to find the cutoff requirement and if they have qualified. Admissions under the sixth list is expected to be approved until Tuesday.
At Daulat Ram College, all but two of their courses are closed for admissions under the general category. They still have a few seats left in BCom (hons), the lowest cutoff for which was 95%.
BCom (hons) is also available at Gargi College, where the lowest cutoff has been 94.25%.
Hans Raj College has closed admissions to all its courses under the general category, except for English and Chemistry honours, the lowest cutoffs so far for which has been 95.5% and 95.66%, respectively.
Lady Shri Ram College has a few seats left for Mathematics (hons); the cutoff has not dropped below 96.25% so far.
Miranda House has seats available for six courses, including Economics (hons) and BA programme.
Shyam Lal Evening college, which had almost half its seats vacant by the end of admissions under the fifth cutoff lost, has seats available in all its courses.
Political Science and History aspirants may want to try their luck at colleges such as Sri Venkateswara College, where the lowest cutoffs for the course have been 94% and 91%, respectively so far.
