Women sipping their way to high cholesterol
Sugary drinks can contribute to poor heart health.
A five-year study of more than 4000 US women aged 46-84, without cardiovascular disease, found that those who drank two or more sugary beverages a day were four times more likely to develop high triglycerides — an indication of poor heart health — even if they didn’t gain weight.
